AT “ART FOR OUR TIME” MEETUPS, we go to the Met Museum to look at and discuss artworks from around the world and across 5,000 years of human creativity—art that concerns the ongoing struggle for peace, justice, and shared prosperity.

THE MEETUPS ARE MAINLY FOR educators, advocates, and organizers. We discuss the art in the context of our own work.

DIFFERENT MEETUPS focus on different sub-themes such as war, gender equality, protest movements, LGBTQ+ rights. Each event can be tailored to a particular organization or the people attending. 

THE MEETUPS ARE FREE, and folks get their own museum tickets. These are informal visits, not tours. Organized by Paul VanDeCarr, a super-fan of the Met. Not an official Met Museum activity.
